On 11 December 2021 the 35th edition of the International 4x4 Meeting Città di Gradisca will take place in Gradisca d’Isonzo. An event by G.F.I. Alpe Adria Offroad which has become a real tradition, a custom that an off-roader cannot miss. In this article, all the information on the schedule, the cost and how to register to the event.

The International 4x4 Meeting Città di Gradisca is an unbelievable off-road experience that is suitable for heterogeneous teams, families and veterans who all passionately want to spend a special off-road day on board of any four-wheel drive vehicle, whether it’s a vintage or the latest model , fully equipped or SUV!
On Saturday, December 11, 2021, a memorable route of over 100 km off-road, using a traditional road-book awaits you!
Gradisca 4x4, guests of a unique land!
In the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia region, between the Julian Prealps and the Adriatic Sea, crossing hills, woods and vineyards, along riverbeds and streams, visiting Roman archaeological and historical sites of the First World War; immersed in Central European culture to taste products and dishes born from the crossing of traditions of different countries, sipping excellent wines.
Gradisca 4x4, all the information to participate in the 2021 edition
The 35th edition of the International 4x4 Meeting Città di Gradisca is scheduled for Saturday 11 December 2021; the complete program covers the entire weekend with multiple proposals for tourist and historical itineraries, 4x4 driving tests as well as obviously the traditional track of over 100 km off-road with a road-book on Saturday.
On Saturday 11 December 2021, a memorable route of over 100 km off-road with a road-book awaits you, while to complement this exciting day there is a program of tourist and historical tours by appointment.
Program of the 35th Gradisca 4x4
- Friday, 10th December 2021
From 9.00am – until 9.00pm
accreditation of participants and required documents pick up from the Bergamas room in Gradisca d’Isonzo.
- Saturday, 11th December 2021
From 7.00am – until 10.30am
Meeting with all participants in Gradisca d'Isonzo, enrolment and pick up of participation documents in the Bergamas room. Access will be regulated by the organization in compliance with the current health protocols in place.
08.00am opening event-
08.30am official start with a 20 second gap between each vehicle. The start will be promoted by ‘Miss Friuli Venezia Giulia’
Participants will be offered two routes:
- Tourist route – this can be found on the white sheets of the road-book, easier drive, without any particular
difficulties and suitable for all standard and sport 4x4 off-road vehicles and SUV
- Challenging route – this can be found on the yellow sheets of the road-book, suitable for all standard 4x4 offroad vehicles and not recommended for SUV.
Along both routes, there are some optional routes which can be quiet challenging. These can be found on the other coloured sheets of the road-book (these will be available only at the discretion of the organization and provided only to experienced off-road drivers). For security reasons, these challenging routes will be only opened at certain times and no assistance will be guaranteed Participants are required to drive appropriately based on the current weather conditions and location.

Free routes: tourist attractions are provided to participants which do not include off-road tracks.

b) Gorizia (city) – Nova Gorica, cultural European city of 2025;
c) Palmanova / Aquileia ;
d) San Daniele del Friuli (town) and its prosciutto
e) Trieste (capital city) ed il Carso.

10.00am departure from the “Unità d’Italia” square in Gradisca d’Isonzo for guided tours to museums, war fields and theme parks, all reachable with a simple and short off-road tour through the countryside and fields in which the First World War was fought.
1.30pm wine tasting in a cellar, including local cured meat and cheese platter, surrounded by historic scenery
2.30pm return to “Gradisca d’Isonzo” by easy off-road tracks and closing ceremony.
How to register for the 35th edition of the International 4×4 Meeting Città di Gradisca
To register for the Gradisca 4x4, simply visit the official website of the event and fill out the dedicated form. Registration open until December 1st 2021, subject to availability.
The cost of participation is 170.00 euros per crew/vehicle. The price includes the refreshment stops. Discount applicable for drivers/members of the G.F.I. year 2021.
Payment will be made upon collection of participation documents in the Bergamas room in Gradisca d’Isonzo.

The International 4x4 Meeting Città di Gradisca is today a real tradition, a custom that an off-roader cannot miss. Since 1985, the year of the first edition with only 30 cars entered, almost 19,000 crews have chosen this event to end the off-road year. Over the years, from an all-Italian custom, the Gradisca 4x4 has become a European appointment with foreign crews, especially from Central Europe, who take advantage of the event to enjoy a long weekend dedicated to both quality off-road and to discover the culture and renowned Isonzo food and wine products.
In 2003 the Gradisca 4x4 set a record, certified by the Guinness Book of Records, of 853 participating vehicles.
